Maple Glazed Walnuts Recipe • Tasty & Versatile! | Club Foody

David and I like snacky foods especially on movie nights 🎬! He enjoys his Cretors Popcorn or BBQ chips while I have my plain chips with my onion chip dip or my seaweed snack. Other times, we share a bucket of Cracker Jack, have tortilla chips with salsa or roasted squash seeds.

When it comes to sweets, we definitely go for cold treats like ice creams 🍦, gelatos or floats during the summer while the rest of the year, we munch on Fig Newtons CookiesPirate Cookies, Twinkies, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Twizzlers, etc.

Nuts are another favorite of ours. It can be some trail mix, peanuts 🥜, almonds, cashews, pecans, or walnuts. As much as they’re good on their own, I like to give the walnuts a flavor boost by turning them into Maple Glazed Walnuts!

These are simply amazing plus incredibly versatile! Besides being a nice sweet snack on their own, they can be used as a topping for cereals, oatmeal or even salads 🥗. They also make a great addition for a charcuterie board. In addition, I use them to decorate my Maple Walnut Cake.

Another plus about these Maple Glazed Walnuts is they take 6 to 7 minutes ⏳ to make. What takes the most time is allowing them to cool before transferring to the fridge for a couple of hours to help dry them out.

Talking about drying them…
Until recently, I used to place them in a single layer on wax or parchment paper. I realized that many of them were sticking to the paper. I decided to put them straight on the baking sheet without paper… much better. At least, there’s no tiny paper bits sticking to the nuts 😉.

Also, after chilling the walnuts for a couple hours ⏰, I remove the tray from the fridge and release the walnuts from the bottom of the baking sheet before returning them to the fridge. I repeat that a few times until they no longer stick to the tray – it might take 3 to 4 times before this happens.

This delicious Maple Glazed Walnuts recipe is easy to make plus so versatile! With only 3 ingredients, they’re a great snack to munch on! Add them to your charcuterie board, a topper for salads, cereals or oatmeal, decorate your cake 🍰 with them, and more. Add hot paprika or cayenne for another tasty twist!
Bon Appétit! 🍽

Pork Loin Chops in Creamy Spinach Sauce Recipe | Club Foody

Did you know that the top 3 most consumed proteins worldwide 🌏 are chicken, pork and beef? I think eggs should be squeezed in there too. Interestingly enough, pork is the most eaten meat… I would think that chicken would be the frontrunner.

I have a lot of pork recipes on the website like Ham & Asparagus Crêpes with Cheese SauceAsian Pork TenderloinPork Chops with Spicy Peach SaucePizza DipPork VindalooDenver Omelet, and hundreds 💯 more. Here’s another one to add to this extensive list… Pork Loin Chops in Creamy Spinach Sauce!

This 30-minute recipe is simply amazing! It’s super easy to make with delicious results! Of course, the sauce is what makes this dish! It has fresh ingredients and nice seasonings along with heavy cream, chicken broth and white wine. Although it’s with pork loin chops, chicken 🐓 is a tasty alternative!

This recipe all started because David is not a big fan of spinach. I got it! It’s not for everyone but it’s a shame as this leafy green vegetable has incredible health benefits. It’s good for skin, hair, bones 🦴, plus it contains antioxidants, is a good source of fiber along with vitamins, and much more…

To integrate this vegetable 🍃 more often into our menu, I created this Pork Loin Chops in Creamy Spinach Sauce. There are also other dishes that I have come up with like Spinach & Ricotta Scrambled EggsPumpernickel Spinach DipCreamy Tuscan ChickenTorta PasqualinaPear Pomegranate Blue Cheese Salad, etc.

There’s a beautiful selection of seasonings that goes in. The meat 🐖 is generously seasoned with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. For the sauce, I only add my Herbes de Provence and a little bit of red pepper flakes giving enough oomph to wrap the dish up nicely!

If you have picky eaters when it comes to this leafy green vegetable, this Pork Loin Chops in Creamy Spinach Sauce is a great one to make! Served with steamed vegetables and mashed potatoes, this 30-minute ⏰ recipe is ideal for weeknight dinners
Bon Appétit! 🍽

Peanut Butter Banana Bread Recipe • So Tasty! | Club Foody

Who didn’t eat banana bread as a child?
It became popular during the Great Depression and WWII for a few reasons: it’s a delicious way to salvage this fruit, it’s nutritious 💚, it doesn’t need that much sugar due to the natural sweetness of these ripe bananas plus it’s a tasty comfort food.

Quick breads 🍞 are easy to make! I think of Apple Cinnamon, Cranberry-Orange & Almonds, Zucchini, Tropical Bread, and many others. The same applies with savory breads such as Onion Quick Bread, Jalapeño Cheddar Cornbread, Beer Bread, Bacon Parmesan, etc.

Probably the most well-liked 💖 when it comes to the sweet ones is banana bread. On the site, there’s my Pineapple Banana Bread with Coconut & Macadamia and Marbled Chocolate Pecan Banana Bread. One day, I decided to put another twist on this classic and came up with Peanut Butter Banana Bread!

David always buys bananas 🍌 and often, the ripest ones end up in the freezer. As I can’t stand eating the same thing plus needing some space in my freezer, I had no choice but to create another “banana bread” flavor.

This is a combination that I’m very familiar with! When I do eat breakfast, I like to have toast, spread on some peanut butter and then topped with banana slices along with a tall glass of milk 🥛. Once in a while, I might drizzle some Nutella on too. These ingredients grouped together are a match made in heaven!

The making of this Peanut Butter Banana Bread is quite easy. I use 4 overripe bananas – it helps to create space in my freezer -, and melted peanut butter. I use the creamy kind but crunchy is another option… it gives more texture to it. To melt it, I place it in the microwave for 1 minute ⏳ on “High”.

One that I don’t use is Natural Peanut Butter 🥜. I’m not a fan of its texture. It’s gritty and tends to separate more than regular ones that’s why it has to be stirred before using. There’s also no sugar in it. It’s healthier BUT it won’t give you the same results. If you go for it, adjust the sweetness accordingly.

In the video 🎥, I also add semi-sweet chocolate chips which is optional but highly recommended! I made this quick bread with and without it, and both versions were incredibly moist and tasty.

This Peanut Butter Banana Bread is a scrumptious way to enjoy this comfort food! It’s definitely an elevated version of the classic one! Loaded with yumminess, this is a great quick bread recipe to make 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳 and a delightful change from the regular ones!
Bon Appétit! 🍽

Chicken Stew Recipe • Earthy & Delicious! | Club Foody

November… yikes! While sitting at my desk wearing a turtleneck sweater and slippers that I switched from my flip-flops a month ago, I look outside my window and most of the leaves 🍂 on the trees are gone, covering the grass.

The clocks 🕗 are also turned back making the days shorter. This is when I start feeling like a bear… it’s time to hibernate! My cave is my kitchen and this is when pots of food simmering on the stove top or casseroles baking in the oven become a daily event!

David and I love stews! They’re hearty, so tasty and definitely comforting 🥰! I think of Texas Cowboy StewCoffee Beef StewPork Stew with Meatballs – a Québec favorite! -, Fish Stew, and others including this one… Chicken Stew!

With a rich, savory flavor, this one-pot meal is exactly what everyone needs when the cold weather 🥶 starts to settle in. There are chicken thighs, a gorgeous variety of fresh vegetables along with seasonings that are cooked in a delicious broth! It’s easy to make plus it freezes very well too!

To evenly disperse the meat, I cut the thighs 🐓 into smaller pieces and trim them if needed. That way, there’s always meat in every serving instead of 6 big thighs standing alone. Chicken breasts can be used but thighs are juicier and give more flavor to the stew.

Chicken Stew is a heartwarming dish… there’s nothing fancy about it. When the oil is hot, I simply drop the chicken pieces in the Dutch oven and season generously with salt 🧂, pepper and smoked paprika. If the meat sticks to the bottom, I add more oil, a little at a time to help release them.

Vegetables 🧅🥕🥬 are roughly chopped to about the same size. It’s a stew so let’s not sweat about it, being cute with our knife skills – no julienne or brunoise cuts are required here. The only ingredient that is cut finely is the garlic… yes, I do cut them once in a while!

This is a one-pot dish but at the same, it isn’t. I like to blanch the green beans first for 3 minutes ⏳ and here’s why. It helps to keep their color, flavor and texture by stopping the enzyme actions. It’s also a good jumpstart so they don’t need to cook longer and not overcooking the other ingredients in the stew.

Besides rosemary and thyme, there’s another seasoning that really adds a nice touch to this dish and it’s cayenne pepper. We don’t need a lot… just a little and it will make a big impact in the flavor department 😋. You can skip it but trust me, it really gives personality to the stew.

Without going overboard with it, there’s a ½ cup of heavy cream that goes in at the end. It’s makes it look better but also helps to thicken the broth. After simmering for a couple of minutes, I like to remove the pot from the heat and let it sit for 5 minutes ⏰ before serving.

This homey Chicken Stew is incredibly comforting. This is a nice savory dish for weeknight dinners. Served with crusty bread 🍞, this hearty one-pot meal is so tasty and perfect when it’s cold outside…
Bon Appétit! 🍽

Pumpkin Squares Recipe • Incredibly Moist & Tasty! | Club Foody

It’s Halloween!🦇👻🎃
There will be countless “creatures of the night” 👽 wandering in the neighborhood wearing all kinds of costumes and make-up. To make things even more terrifying, scary decorations will be hung everywhere as a backdrop with creepy music and sounds playing in the background. Halloween is a very mysterious event!

It wouldn’t be a “Trick or Treat” if there weren’t any candies 🍬🍭 and sweets around. I’m sure many of you have already made them or bought some for the little ones. If you forgot about it or are entertaining friends this weekend, here’s a scrumptious recipe… Pumpkin Squares!

Amazingly moist and flavorful, these little guys are so scrumptious! This cake is topped with a cream cheese frosting which is a blank canvas to decorate for the occasion! Besides Halloween, it’s also ideal for other Holidays or events such as Thanksgiving or Christmas 🎄!

These easy Pumpkin Squares are a lovely dessert to make! This is one of my favorite fall 🍂 baking recipes along with Pumpkin Chai BreadPumpkin Pie, and Pumpkin & Spice Cream Cheese Muffins. With a nice hint of spice, this beloved treat is always a hit!

It’s pretty straightforward to make and takes just half-an-hour ⏰ to bake. I use a very good quality brand of pumpkin purée along with my Pumpkin Pie Spice. There’s also oil that goes in that gives the beautiful moisture and softness.

When the batter is done, simply pour it in a prepared 9×13-inch sheet cake pan that has been lined with greased parchment paper, large enough to have overhang on both sides – it’s easier to unmold when it has completely cooled off 😉. Here’s the link to see how I do it… Parchment Paper Rounds for Cakes

As I mentioned, it takes about 30 minutes to bake 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳 or until a cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean with just a few crumbs. Not all ovens are the same so if the top starts getting darker, loosely tent with a piece of foil.

After the cake is at room temperature, I top it with my Cream Cheese Frosting. This is the ideal coating when it comes to decorating many baked goods 👩‍🎨! For the size of this cake, you’ll only need half of the frosting recipe. From there, have fun with it! Use my Sanding Sugar which is another great one to have on hand!

This is the perfect treat for the pumpkin lovers out there! These delicious Pumpkin Squares are incredibly easy to make with scrumptious results! Young or old will all love them! Satisfy your sweet tooth 🦷 with this delectable fall recipe!
Bon Appétit! 🍽
